I really like how they handle the change in aspect ratios! I also like the change of the background color for each image (similar to the purpose of a matte). Do you know how is it selected? (e.g. based on the image color, random, photographer-set for each picture)
It’s flash, and I think it simply looks at the average hue of the image and displays that. I like the aspect ratio change too. It’s pretty clean overall, though I’d make some changes to the navigation. It’s not intutitive IMO.
