  1. LOL….Several people have requested invites and have heard nothing back from you. When is the site going to be ready to accept members? I’ll check back for an answer here, on the blog and the Mentor’s site.

    Keep up the good work!!

  2. Hi Kyle,

We have 85 requests to join the community site. Everyone will be accepted once we get past a few things — the first of which, as you know, was the announcement we delivered on Friday. Thanks for helping spread the word, btw.

  3. Although I will keep my 1.0 family sites, I like the user friendly program from my members ..having said that,

I too am anxious to see how the 2.0 for a new generation of uses evolves.

I especially like the feature in photos to add a complete file of photos in one shot.

  4. Question: Upgrading 2.0 site from free to paid.

Filled out information needed then it referred me back to “my account” for a first and last name.

if I find where to do that, will my full name appear on all the 2.0 sites I am a member. I prefer private information kept private thats why I suport myfamily.com
    thanks,

  5. Hey Carol.

If you’re on the credit card page and you enter your name, the system will not put your name into your site profile. So no worries there. If you are in fact referred to “my account” and you enter a first and last name, it will appear on the site. But then you can delete it immediately after you subscribe and you’ll be back to anonymous. Does that answer your question?

  6. Carol,

If you use a nickname, we will not use the first/last name given in my account for any of our display fields. We only use first/last name when no other display name is given.

    Thanks,
    Cliff

  7. Sean, yes that gives me a answer and the how to. thank you.

Cliff: thanks I like my private info kept private and appreciate your imput.

I am upgrading the 2.0 so that I can watch the growth of this program without the ads.

I am a dedicated user to 1.0 yet am aware that for the next generation of MF users you must grow and improve the ability to be diverse.

I do appreciate the decision of MF to continue to support the 1.0 yet am anxious to watch 2.0 succeed
the computer generation that is now here.

Good luck in your techincal journey.

  8. back at a computer after a relaxing day in Beautiful Victorian Cape May, NJ..

Question: on the Myfamily top banner of each front page in 2.0 . where the greeting shows our name. it now shows my universal signin ID. It had my acct. name there before I left to laze on the sand. Came back to a change.

🙂 enjoying the puzzles of evolution to 2.0 we must crawl before we walk.

Are we on this side of the computer screen the only ones that see that information.

  9. Hi!

I recently tried to “consolidate accounts” on the 1.0 site and now cannot access the 2.0 site. I am the administrator on the 2.0 site.

Sent three emails for help and got one response to wait for the migration. I wasn’t migrating, I was trying to be able to access both accounts through one website.

The 2.0 site was upgraded to not show ads, and I have now been unable to view the site for over a week.

    What have I done wrong?

  10. Good morning!

Someone from your helpdesk was able to fix this for me now. I had to be re-invited by a current member and then made the Administrator again. It was unknown how I got kicked out of the website, but all is well now.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!
